In September there was a big change at the top, with Southwest Airlines the recipient of the most tweets for the month, beating longstanding champion Delta, who dropped down to third below Air Asia.
Simpliflying (in partnership with Eezeer) have updated their monthly infographic on how airlines are using Twitter (see our previous update on this for July here, and previous months can be found here, here and here).
Big change in August as Cebu Pacific becomes the global airline with the second highest number of mentions on Twitter. Cebu Pacific received almost 12,000 public tweets, which was good enough for second place behind all-conquering Delta. JetBlue rounds out the pack in third.
There are several key changes in the July update – most notably, more airlines now use Twitter than how loyalty programs.
