Why do we follow small brands on Twitter?
According to one new study, more than seven in ten small to medium-sized (SMB) business followers on Twitter do so to receive updates on future products, and 70 percent retweet content they liked from SMBs, reports eMarketer.
This data comes courtesy of a survey conducted by Market Probe International (and, for the record, commissioned by Twitter), which also revealed that 63 percent follow SMBs to show support for that brand, and 61 percent do so simply so they can interact.
Beyond retweeting liked content, 64 percent share SMB content on Twitter because of a positive experience.
