Al-Monitor has hired The Hill‘s Julian Pecquet as their Congressional correspondent, it was announced today. Pecquet will oversee the website’s new ‘Congress Pulse’ section, which will focus on the relationship between Congress and the Middle East.
Pecquet previously ran the Global Affairs blog at The Hill and has also covered the War on Terror in Africa and healthcare reform.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Al-Monitor as it cements its reputation as the must-read site for Middle East news and analysis for readers the world over,” he said. “Congress, of course, continues to play a central role in events shaping the region, and I look forward to the opportunity to cover its players as they influence global events.”
