Bill Press’s Intern Duty: Make Sen. Sanders Tea

Bill_Press_hi.jpg It’s true. Left-leaning radio host Bill Press is still an intern for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). The purpose of landing the internship was to get himself credentialed on Capitol Hill.

But what’s more incredible about this setup is that Press has intern duties, namely making the senator tea when he shows up to his office.

“No sugar, no cream,” Press told FishbowlDC of how Sanders takes his tea.

On Wednesday night, Press, amiable as ever, showed up to the Radio & TV Correspondent’s dinner. “They’re the ones who rejected me,” he said, smiling, pointing to the dais, referencing his rejected press pass application. “Despite that snub, I still came to their dinner.”
