Bottom Scrapings

goldfish.jpgTonight was clean out the fishbowl night. The three inhabitants of our personal fishbowl–Gulliver (center), Finnegan (right), and Lady Bracknell (left)–have been getting increasingly frustrated with their tank, so finally tonight we broke down and cleaned it out.

They seem much happier now, especially with their little rock thing scrubbed of algae. In the course of cleaning, though, we came across two items worth noting:

  • The Washington Times is forced to make a correction involving the words “cucumber” and “condom” in proximity.
  • Slate has begun a Fleischer Watch, “an ongoing inquiry into dishonest or insane assertions buried inside Ari Fleischer’s White House memoir.” The first chapter takes on Ari and the economy.

Happy swimming tonight.
