Covering the White House in the Rain

In our quest to acknowledge unusual or interesting work coming from the White House Press Corps, this week we award HuffPost‘s Jennifer Bendery our White House Pool Prize for her stellar work capturing the weather woes surrounding the White House Tuesday.

At 11:46am, Obama walked across the South Lawn with his umbrella and boarded Marine One, bound for Baltimore. He was joined by Principal Deputy Press Sec Josh Earnest, Trip Director Marvin Nicholson, Deputy Chief of Staff for Ops Alyssa Mastromonaco and WH photog Pete Souza. Marine One lifted off at about 11:52am. Handing over to travel pool.

Side note: Reporters who stood in the rain waiting for Obama were blown everywhere as Marine One touched down. Picture long hair flying and umbrellas snapping and flipping inside out. Hilarious iPhone photos available upon request.
