Daily Caller to Skip Town for Prom Weekend

The Daily Caller’s Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson and senior political and White House correspondent Jon Ward will flee town the weekend of May 1 and will miss the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. Publisher Neil Patel will also not attend.

The publication, unlike some others in town who are fighting (and suing) for seats, requested no tables at the dinner.

A spokeswoman told FishbowlDC: “Neither Tucker, Neil or Jon are in town that weekend, so we elected to forego the event this year. It has never been on our schedule.”

When asked if he would be at the dinner, Ward replied by e-mail: “Nope, I’ll be out of town.”
