Dead: ReadExpress. Born: Express Night Out
The Express newspaper’s attempt to be like DCist city blog — FreeRide — has been suffering a slow demise following head blogger Michael Grass‘ departure to Politicker.
So it is, then, that they’ve canned the site for a new one: ExpressNightOut, a far less bloggy guide to the city.
Question: Does the WaPo seem to have a bit of overkill on the “what’s going on in the city” department? There’s the Going Out Gurus. ExpressNightOut. The Weekend Section. Style on the Go. We don’t want to say that Katharine Weymouth may consider that very fact in her “assessment” of WaPo resources, but, well, you know…
I mean, come on: Our city isn’t nearly that exciting…
