DeFeo Leaves TownHall.com For Washington Times

TownHall.com’s Chuck DeFeo has been named the general manager of interactive and social media for The Washington Times.

“DeFeo will oversee WashingtonTimes.com’s growing communities section as well as new web sites now under development at The Washington Times,” says the release.

    Prior to joining The Times, DeFeo was vice president and general manager of Townhall.com, a conservative opinion and news web site that averaged more than 2 million monthly unique visitors and over 50 million monthly page views. He also oversaw the web sites for Salem
    Communications’ five nationally syndicated talk radio hosts, Salem Radio Network News’ SRNNews.com and Salem’s 26 news/talk radio station websites.

    In 2004, DeFeo served as eCampaign Manager for the Bush-Cheney ’04
    reelection campaign, where he developed the online strategy and managed Internet operations. Prior to that he spent much of his career serving as a legislative and technology aide to Senator and Attorney General John Ashcroft, having created the first online petition for a member of Congress in 1996.
