TIPS FROM THE POOL…INTO THE DEEP END
Hearst’s Chuck Lewis noted in a White House Pool Report this afternoon that a small group of journalists were preparing to dine with President Obama. One can only assume pre-SOTU banter considering the speech questions being asked of POTUS. But where was FNC? Left out in the cold?
Mr. Obama was apparently heading for lunch with TV anchors and pundits.
Seen gathering in the Palm Court earlier were Chris Matthews (MSNBC), Wolf Blitzer (CNN), Diane Sawyer (ABC), Brian Williams (NBC) and George Stephanopoulos (ABC).
We asked Fox News PR for a comment. We’ll see if they answer…
> Update: FNC’s Dana Klinghoffer was a wealth of snotty non-information. She wrote back to our question of whether FNC was left out: “Go ahead and write that…but you’d be wrong, again.”
Gee, thanks Dana.
> Update #2: We’ve learned (from other sources since FNC PR can’t be bothered) that FNC’s Shepard Smith attended the lunch. Also see Yahoo! News’s Michael Calderone‘s report from a few hours ago. Our relatives at TVNewser also have some details.
