Tucker’s Green Suede Shoes: Today Politico‘s Patrick Gavin brings us a peculiar story from the website Racked, which has a feature about items people regret buying. The site posed the question to The Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson. His answer involved an ugly green suede shoe purchase in LA for a costume party (riiiight, a costume party). “It’s possible I had a fever,” he told Racked about the purchase. Read the full item here. Salter takes a sledgehammer to WaPo blogger: Mark Salter, senior adviser to Sen. John McCain‘s (R-Ariz.) presidential campaign, takes WaPo‘s conservative blogger Jennifer Rubin to task in Real Clear Politics this morning for her harsh treatment of Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, who dropped out of the presidential race this week. Salter, who laments the fact that Daniels isn’t running, calls her “a prolific enthusiast of the disrespect and bombast that characterize much of our politics,” and said she doesn’t really speak for “key blocs of the Republican Party.”
