Subject: FP’s web teamWe’re thrilled to announce that our web team is about to grow with the
addition of Marc Stein as FP’s first web development director. Thanks to the good efforts of Slate technology guru Jing Gu, Marc comes on boardat a key moment in our ongoing relaunch of ForeignPolicy.com; he’ll be working on this alongside our amazingly capable team of webmaster Tom Stec and web developer Blaine Sheldon. Two months after debuting, we’ve tripled our traffic, experimented with an array of successful new blogs, published notable, ahead-of-the-curve pieces and broken major news stories such as the ongoing Chas Freeman saga and Gen. Anthony Zinni’s anguished blast at the Obama administration. But this is, of course, just a beginning: we’ll continue to add more content and, with the web development team now in place, work toward an ambitious technical relaunch of our full site in the coming months. Please join us in welcoming Marc over the next few days. A talented and accomplished developer who’s just moved to the DC area from New York, Marc has been involved with some fascinating web ventures, including the launch of sites for PearlJam.com, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, the A&E network, Time Inc., and numerous others.
