Gene Weingarten Takes WaPo Buyout

In today’s Chatological Humor, WaPo columnist Gene Weingarten disclosed that he accepted WaPo‘s buyout package. Weingarten addressed questions in his Tuesday chat:

“Yes, I took it because I wanted to. Generously, The Post offered to hire me back, on contract, to do the same job I am doing now, whatever that is. But I’m 57, and want to start on some book and movie projects before I get even older and feebler and the DNA in my brain further deteriorates to the point that I can”t even finish my own senten”

Earlier this month, we questioned if Weingarten would follow Tom Shroder‘s lead after learning that Shroder was the latest to buy in to the buyout.
