White House press secretary Robert Gibbs first announced that President Obama would postpone his overseas travel next week over Twitter– his handle is @PressSec.
He was asked about this in today’s press briefing- still wearing the USA hockey jersey, btw- and said that he turned to Twitter because there were some email problems at the White House. He called it a quick medium to get info out and said that he will probably use it more often.
So press corps, if you aren’t already, be sure to follow @PressSec, or risk missing the press bus.
