Last night’s “NBC Nightly News” reported that the Harry S. Truman Bowling Alley in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building used by White House staff and their guests was set to undergo a renovation according to a General Services Administration posting to contractors. The posting has since been canceled and a White House official told TIME the renovation was no longer going to take place.

In May, POLITICO published a gallery showcasing the alley’s signs of wear and sometimes disrepair.
