It’s Official: The “Real Housewives” (Plus Some) Are Coming to DC

It’s official… Today Bravo announced “The Real Housewives of DC” is set to premiere in 2010.

“A place for power and politics, Bravo scouted the DC area to identify the city’s alluring and discriminating residents, the women who have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings and fundraisers in Washington society,” Bravo’s press release touts.

No word yet on who is officially signed on to the cast, but we can tell you one Bravo star who is coming to town. Simon van Kempen, “Real Housewives of New York” star Alex’s husband, will join Carol Joynt in the Q&A Cafe in November.

Joynt, who was one of many names in the DC “Real Housewives” rumor mill herself, blogs, “While Bravo won’t let the “Real Housewives of DC” talk to anyone but their cameras, Simon has a looser contract, and he can talk talk talk. I can’t wait.”
