John King in Final Prep for Show Debut, T-Shirts Included

We’re just hours away from CNN’s debut of “John King, USA.” And excitement is brewing. The show premiers tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

King’s first exclusive guest, which he announced late last night during coverage of the health care reform bill, is: Vicki Kennedy, widow of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), who devoted his career to passing health care reform legislation.

Topics to be discussed: From CNN, “her personal reflections on the health care reform vote, her late husband’s impact on the bill, the election of Sen. Scott Brown and more.”

The show’s executive producer, Michelle Jaconi, gave every staff member a new shirt prior to the taping. We’re hearing they are “cute, fitted and [likened to] concert T-shirts”.
