Kate Lunger, a veteran CNN producer, has been named senior executive producer of CNN’s special events unit. Lunger will lead the team’s planning and coordination of CNN’s coverage of events, such as debates, major primaries and caucuses, party conventions, election night, summits and U.S. presidential overseas trips. Lunger has been with the network since 1998.
