MSNBC’s ‘Week Ahead’ Turns Up the Volcanic Heat

<img alt="hat.jpeg" src="/fishbowlDC/files/original/hat.jpeg" width="124" class="alignright" hspace="3" vspace="3"/ Domenico Montanaro bravely brings you the online “Week Ahead” timeline while standing in front of volcanic ashes that look like they’re bouncing off his head.

Why he’s wearing thick black gloves in the midst of all that fiery heat is a little baffling, but so be it. It’s Iceland, after all.

Still, blissfully, producer Andy Gross has taken our advice and days of the week are now in the proper order.

Gross comes in just at the end in a Tyrolean (Bavarian, made of felt, with a feather) hat. Montanaro immediately cracks on his attire. “This is my volcanologist hat,” Gross says defensively.

Watch the video here. This isn’t the exact hat, but it’s close enough.
