Nagourney to LA

los_angeles_california_palm_tree_sunset_photograph_poster-p2287421803602212273pk3_400.jpg HuffPost is reporting definitely that NYT’s Adam Nagourney, chief national political correspondent, will head to sunny Los Angeles to head the paper’s bureau. They report that “apparently discussions have been in the works for some time now.”

Sometimes colleagues are the last to know. NYT’s Mark Liebovich couldn’t confirm the move, but said he’d miss Nagourney greatly. “Yes, we’d miss him here terribly,” Liebovich said. “He’s a great guy, great colleague and has been at the top of the game for a long, long time.”

Read Sam Stein’s story here. Also check out Politico’s Michael Calderone’s details here. (So far Nagourney’s talk talking
to reporters about his move.)
