National Journal Courting AP’s Fournier for EIC Gig
Sources tell FishbowlDC that National Journal is courting Associated Press Washington Bureau Chief Ron Fournier to take over the reinvented publication’s editorial team.
According to those familiar with the situation, Fournier originally declined a deal to become NJ‘s EIC but is now reconsidering a sweetened, second offer.
When contacted for comment, National Journal said, “We have launched a nationwide search for an editor-in-chief and are not discussing any of the people we are talking to.” FishbowlDC has not yet received response to our request for comment from Fournier.
