Looking for a new gig right out of school? We can think of few steps better to follow in DC media than Tim Russert‘s.

NBC Universal announced today the creation of the Tim Russert Fellowship Program. The program will award a one-year position to a recent college graduate and will be based in NBC’s Washington, D.C. bureau. It will include “several long-term rotations” within the bureau.

From the job posting: “The Tim Russert Fellowship will be awarded to one motivated, passionate graduating senior interested in pursuing a career in political journalism…The goal is to give a talented, young journalist the opportunity to be mentored by seasoned NBC News staff members and experience a yearlong ‘boot camp’ in political journalism.”

The deadline for applicants is Friday at 5pmET.
