NJ Lands Newsweek’s Hirsh

The latest in National Journal‘s hiring spree is award-winning journo and author Michael Hirsh. It was announced today that Hirsh will join NJ as Chief Correspondent, covering the intersection of economic policy, foreign policy, and politics for the newsgroup.

Hirsh joins NJ from Newsweek, where he is a senior editor, National Economics Correspondent and Washington web editor.

In a statement released by NJ today, Hirsh said of his new position, “I have long been an admirer of Ron Brownstein‘s and Ron Fournier‘s work, and I am drawn to their mission: providing deep, thoughtful journalism across varied platforms with energy and speed at the new National Journal. I am eager to do my part to make that happen.”
