NJ‘s McPike to Real Clear Politics

National Journal‘s Erin McPike will join Real Clear Politics beginning Monday, August 16, 2010. McPike’s hire is part of a recruiting push and expansion that includes the recent hire of Scott Conroy, former CBS embed reporter (Romney 2008) and author of “Sarah from Alaska: The Sudden Rise and Brutal Education of a New Conservative Superstar.”

For McPike, Real Clear Politics created the new position of “national political reporter.” She will begin by covering the midterm elections and then roll into 2012, focusing on the GOP presidential primary.

Congrats to RCP and McPike and good news for McPike’s McFans – her writing will no longer be held hostage behind a firewall.
