What word do you routinely misspell? Pennsylvania (it was 6 weeks, I wrote it alot)

What’s the name of your cell phone ring? i have no idea, I have not changed the ring since I got the phone

What time did you get up this morning? 7:45

When did you last cry and why? about two years ago, would take a while to explain, but it was actually a happy time, two of my relatives I am close to sort of reconciled after several years of tension

How many emails do you receive a day, roughly? 150 I’m guessing

What’s your favorite letter? should I go with p, b and j?

What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? can’t do just one. The metro staff at the Courier-Journal, who as a group taught me how to be a journalist. Michael Duffy, for trusting me with lots of assignments most 20 somethings don’t get, and Karen Tumulty for being a great mentor in journalism.

When’s the last time you volunteered? Where? wow, way too long. I was a mentor before the election, 2006 that is.

Who is your favorite active journalist? Peter Baker in terms of someone who does more daily/short term work, Michael Lewis and Malcolm Gladwell for magazines

What did you have for breakfast? a banana, and coffee

What one toiletry item could you not live without? I suspect there are many

If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? I would love to be a mind-reader, I’m a journalist and I suspect people often don’t tell me the truth
