Psst…Allen to Return to Politico?
We’re hearing rumblings that Jonathan Allen is returning to Politico. Allen, a longtime Capitol Hill scribe, left the publication a month and a half ago to run the leadership PAC for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.).
Politico officials are not returning e-mails requesting comment but we’ve learned Allen was visiting with VandeHei and Harris within the past week.
Since then, there has been a surge of speculation that Allen, who spent nearly two decades as a reporter and won the Dirksen award for his work, has had major regrets about leaving journalism.
