Revolving Door: Cox’s Scott Shepard to Sen. Kerry Staff
FBDC has learned Scott Shepard is leaving Cox’s Washington, DC Bureau to join the staff of Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) as a speechwriter.
Journos to government is becoming a bit of a trend these days. We told you this weekend about Chicago Tribune’s Jill Zuckman‘s move to the Obama administration as Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood’s director of public affairs. Even more interesting, Shephard is the second journo to join Sen. Kerry’s staff this year. Former LA Times managing editor Doug Frantz is now the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chief Investigator under Sen. Kerry. (h/t Calderone)
