RTCA Dinner Switches Locations

Fox News’ Heather Dahl sent out the following email, obtained by FishbowlDC, last week to various news editors:

Subject: A Message About the 2009 RTCA Dinner

To the editor:

On behalf of the RTCA Executive Committee, I’m thrilled to update you on a very exciting development. The 65th Annual Radio & Television Correspondents Dinner will be held April 2, 2009 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

After much consideration, the RTCA Executive Committee has decided to move the annual dinner to the Convention Center because it offers a fresh new atmosphere and growth capacity. The Executive Committee has toured the facility and is convinced this first dinner for the new White House Administration and Congressional leaders will be a spectacular, world-class event. The entire Convention Center management is eager to host our event and has been working diligently to make the Center the dinner’s home for many years to come.

2009 will be a year of many changes in Washington with new faces in the White House and Capitol Hill and we believe it’s the perfect year to bring a new and exhilarating look to our dinner.

Sincerely,

Heather Dahl, Chair
2008 RTCA Executive Committee Membership
