Stewart Will Have Hard Time Booking Schieffer for DC Shows
If you chased down “Daily Show” tickets yesterday with the hopes of seeing CBS News’ Bob Schieffer as a guest of Jon Stewart’s (as TVNewser speculated yesterday) you might be out of luck.
In a segment on CBSNews.com’s “Washington Unplugged” with Jan Crawford and Politico‘s Kiki Ryan today, Schieffer, who has been featured on the Comedy Central show twice, said he’s going to quit while he’s ahead.
Crawford and Ryan prodded, but Schieffer wasn’t budging. “This guy is one of the smartest and craftiest interviewers on television,” Schieffer said. “You better have your best game when you go to talk with Jon Stewart.”
