Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper to Anchor CNN’s ‘Election Night in America’

best_wb_ac_10.03.12-300x168Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper will lead CNN’s coverage of the Tuesday, November 4 midterm elections, being billed as “Election Night in America.” Coverage will start at 5pm and Blitzer and Cooper will be joined by “The Lead” anchor Jake Tapper for analysis and chief national correspondent John King operating the “CNN Magic Wall.”

Also slated for air time: Gloria BorgerDavid GergenDana BashCandy CrowleyMichael Smerconish, Paul Begala, Jay Carney, S.E. Cupp, Stephanie Cutter, Newt Gingrich, Van Jones, Kevin Madden, and Ana Navarro.

In addition to televised and online coverage, New Yorkers can turn their attention to the Empire State Building where CNN has affixed a “vertical LED-illuminated ‘meter’” on the top of the building’s spire. As nationwide Senate results come in, red or blue lighting on the meter will indicate which political party has gained control of the Senate.

And at 9 pm on CNN en Español, the network will broadcast “Voto Latino 2014,” to be anchored by Juan Carlos LópezPatricia Janiot and Fernando del Rincón.

Bill Kristol and Ana Navarro Join ABC News

Longtime Fox News contributor and editor and publisher of The Weekly Standard Bill Kristol has joined ABC News as a contributor, “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos announced on Sunday morning’s show.

Also named contributor is Republican strategist Ana Navarro, who with Kristol made her debut Super Bowl Sunday on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

Navarro has served as the national co-chair for John McCain’s Hispanic Advisory Council and, most recently, served as the National Hispanic Co-Chair for Governor Jon Huntsman’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Congrats to Kristol and Navarro – we look forward to seeing more of you in our hungover Sunday state!
