C-SPAN’s Live Coverage of Jack Nelson Memorial Service Saturday

C-SPAN will have live coverage of the memorial service for Jack Nelson this Saturday in the Grosvenor Auditorium at The National Geographic Society. Nelson was a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and the LAT Washington bureau chief.

Speakers include: former Atlanta Constitution editor Eugene Patterson, former Philadelphia Inquirer editor and NYT‘s Eugene Roberts, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), Reporters Committee for the Freedom of the Press executive diretor Lucy Dalglish, LAT‘s Dick Cooper and Doyle McManus, and Nelson’s widow Barbara Matusow.

The service is from 1 to 2:30pm on the 14th and will re-air on C-SPAN at 8pm that evening.
