Politics magazine announced today that it will broaden its reach to all Latin America with a Spanish-language edition of the publication. The Espanol edition will borrow from the US version but also tap unique content written by Latin American experts. The new edition will increase the mag’s circulation by 25,000, according to the magazine.

“Politics is read in nearly forty countries. We are pleased to have developed a new editorial product that adapts to the conditions on the ground, while maintaining the high standard set by thirty years of publishing, said Publisher Jordan Lieberman.

Exciting news… Campaigns & Elections’ Politics magazine will soon host Governors Huckabee and Rendell as guest editors of two upcoming issues.

As you know, both Governor Huckabee and Rendell are two giants in their respective parties and are known inside our community as outstanding political tacticians who are widely respected across the political spectrum.

This will be the first time we’ve had a guest editor. Governor Huckabee will go first, in October. Governor Rendell will follow shortly thereafter.

We have some exciting changes here and I want to bring you up to speed. Christie Findlay, our exceptionally creative and capable Managing Editor, has been promoted to Editor-in-Chief. She helped lead our redesign this year and has written some of our best work in recent memory. Christie replaces Bill Beaman, who was just named a principal at Washington Media Group, a crisis and strategic communications firm.

Shane D’Aprile, formerly our Web Editor, has been promoted to Senior Editor. Shane is responsible for the dramatic redesign of our PoliticsMagazine.com website and has taken a major role in the improvement of our print publication.

Additionally, pollster Mark J. Penn has agreed to join our Editorial Advisory Board.
