We ran into a bunch of FishbowlDC hotties (Hulse, Verdugo, Kucinich, Pietras, Friere, Stanton, etc.) at last night’s DCI Group party and, boy, were their fingers tired. Why? Because over 280,000 votes have been cast in this year’s contest (you can vote as often as you’d like, so go ahead and rock the vote).

It’s the Fourth Annual FishbowlDC Hottest Media Types competition.

We’ve burned the midnight oil rummaging through all of your nominations (1,000+ at last count), tracking down photos, assessing your hotness and laughing our butts off at some of the descriptions (a favorite: “I guarantee she’s the hottest woman working in the Press Building downtown. At the Radio and Television dinner I introduced her to one of my colleagues who described her aptly as the ‘pretty mermaid girl.’ I thought that was pretty awesome.”)

All throughout today, we’ll be rolling out the 2008 FishbowlDC Hottest Media Types finalists (voting begins tomorrow). We’ve got lots of new faces (sorry Hadley, Travers, Hendren, Norah, Wolffe, Abbi, Yellin, Dickerson, Stephanopolous, Henry and the rest of you perenially beautiful people), from young to old (to satisfy that curmudgeonly White House reporter who’s not a fan of “24 year old blondes that no one’s ever heard of”), from whole bread to gangsta (one nominee’s been shot three times!) and, in the spirit of Kriston Capps, some of “those indie people.”
