Fun & Games at Hotline’s Trivia Night
It was all fun and games at last night’s National Journal/The Hotline Trivia event. Using questions devised by Hotline staffers, journos and politicos were put to the test in a Political-Pursuit Jeopardy-style trivia game.
Question categories ranged from TV ads to scandals and family to politics. A few of our favorite questions from the event:
What car did Tom Daschle use in a TV ad for an early Congressional race?
Which politician did not use his dog in TV ads?
Senators Claire McCaskill(D-Mo) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn) were just a few of the guests that packed the space to cheer on their favorite teams. McCaskill (@clairecmc) had to be urged not to Tweet the answers while jokes were cracked about Klobuchar’s responsibility for recounts in the endless Franken/Coleman Senate battle.
In the end, the “Members Only” team (Casey, Brown, Davis and Kirk) walked away victorious.
“Broadcast News” Dana Bash, Chuck Todd, Jonathan Karl, Molly Hanneberg: Score 280
“Members Only” Bob Casey, Sherrod Brown, Tom Davis, Mark Kirk: Score 290

“Old School” Chris Cillizza, Al Hunt, Christina Bellantoni, Sue Davis: Score 220
Special thanks to Daniel Lippman who was on hand to cover the event for Fishbowl.
