Times Cancels Holiday Party

From an email sent out by the Washington Times’ VP/Gen. Mgr. Dick Amberg:

Some people have asked about the status of the holiday party. This year the party will be a luncheon event for employees on Wednesday, Dec. 13. It will be the kickoff to our 25th anniversary, which will consist of a number of events beginning early in 2007 (our actual 25th anniversary is May 17, 2007). Due to all the activities and celebrations that will occur with our 25th anniversary, we will not have an evening holiday program this year, and will have the company-wide kickoff lunch instead.

There will soon be more specific information about the employee lunch on Wednesday, Dec. 13. This is a “heads up” for planning purposes.

Too bad: We hear that the Christmas party highlight is always Stacy McCain’s karaoke. Much respect.
