ABC News Turning Times Square Into Election Night Clusterf*ck

times10.27.08.jpgABC News can cancel Christmas but it cannot stop the election, nor does it feel guilty spending ten of thousands of dollars on election night. The news network announced plans for its coverage and, among other things it includes draping Times Square in ABC election apparel:

On election night, ABC News will transform Times Square into an outdoor global viewing event, with thousands of people watching ABC News coverage of real time election results on three iconic screens — ABC’s Super Sign, the enormous digital facade of NASDAQ and the 23-story high Reuters sign.

That sounds super expensive to us but it hasn’t started asking for handouts yet. But honestly, given the state of the media world, can that be far behind?
