‘Beckham Cam,’ 19 Others To Capture First MLS Game For ESPN

beckhams.jpg

On July 21, the long-discussed David Beckham invasion begins in earnest when the sarong-sporting English sex symbol soccer star plays his first game with the L.A. Galaxy. ESPN will air the game, following the action with 19 cameras — including a skycam, super slo-mo cams, and robotic goal cams. That’s in addition to “an expanded edition of SportsCenter at 6 p.m. ET; a special titled David Beckham: New Beginnings at 7:30 p.m. ET; a pregame show at 8:30 p.m. ET and the actual game at 9 p.m.”

On ESPN360.com, a “Beckham cam” will track the Metrosexual One all game. Maybe with all the visual input we can finally learn the secret to the bend.
