Business 2.0‘s Facebook Friends

business2_facebook_071807.jpgTroubled magazine Business 2.0 is getting fans in a surprising place — Facebook. A Facebook group called “I read Business 2.0 — and I want to keep reading!” was started on Tuesday that now includes more than 160 members, many of whom are well known in new media circles. They include Craigslist’s Craig Newmark, Facebook VP-strategy Matt Cohler, Time Inc. Interactive president Ned Desmond; Michael Arrington of TechCrunch, Portfolio.com managing editor Blaise Zerega, and our friend Sree Sreenivasan of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Business 2.0 suffered a 34.1% decline in advertising pages during the first half of 2007; EIC Josh Quittner is actively looking for private-equity investors.

The Facebook group was started by a self-described “avid reader” of the Time Inc. magazine.
