Chinese 3D Porn Sex & Zen to Screen in the U.S.

You knew it was…er…coming… 3D porn will soon be showing at a theater near you. Unless you happen to be reading this in Nebraska, or some other redneck, podunk state. In which case, no chance.

The Cantonese-language film Sex & Zen 3D: Extreme Ecstasy, should be making its U.S. theatrical debut in the near future, after the North American distribution rights were picked up by China Lion Film Distribution. The film earned over $1 million in Australia, with what the LA Times described as a “robust” per-screen average of $122,000. Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, the film topped Avatar for the biggest opening-day take ever.

That’s pretty big money. One would imagine that kind of cash would be tough to turn down for a theater in LA. You can’t tell me armies of hipsters won’t flock to see this thing. Not to mention horny teenagers, sad and/or lonely old men, cougars looking to get their boy toys revved up…ect. Can’t wait to see if Rick Caruso will bite and allow this to be screened at the Americana or the Grove. That would probably tell us more about his mayoral ambitions that any of his speeches.
