City & State Loses EIC to MTA
City & State, the political news organization from Manhattan Media, is losing its Editor-in-Chief to the MTA. Adam Lisberg, who has been with City & State since last year, is joining the MTA as its new Director of External Communications.
“I’m excited to join an agency that plays such a crucial role in the New York City region, and to help the MTA deliver its message to the millions of people it serves across a wide range of media,” Lisberg said in a post on City & State. “I’ll miss working with a terrific team of reporters at City & State, but I’m confident they’ll continue to dig up news and craft compelling stories — and I’ll still read their work every day.”
Andrew Hawkins, currently the organization’s Managing Editor, will take on Lisberg’s role until a replacement is found.
