DELISH.COM HIRES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND ADDITIONAL STAFF
TO HELP BRING EDITORIAL VISION TO LIFE
New team will create editorial that offers site visitors
a glimpse into the exciting world of food, well beyond recipes

New York — October 7, 2008 — The launch of Delish.com, a new venture
between Hearst Magazines Digital Media and MSN, has ushered in a new
era of food-related online content. While many food sites simply offer
recipes, Delish.com is taking its content one step further by
providing site visitors with interesting editorial on the people,
culture and celebrity status behind the food we eat every day, as well
as detailed information on thousands of delectable recipes. To help
realize this editorial vision, Hearst Magazines Digital Media today
announced that Elizabeth Shepard has joined Delish.com as executive
director. Additional staffers have joined the site to help create its
ongoing original content.

“I have an insatiable passion for food and lifestyle content and
Delish.com is the perfect place for me to bring that passion to life,”
said Elizabeth Shepard, executive director, Delish.com. “I’m excited
to continue the efforts in building the Delish brand, while also
distinctly differentiating the site’s content from anything else that
currently exists in the marketplace.”

Shepard will be taking over from the site’s founding editor, Nicole
Stagg. “In order to stand out in the marketplace, we knew we had to do
something different than what was already out there. The founding team
wanted to leverage the well-known brands we have at Hearst, and
include more than just recipes. We quickly realized the way to do that
was to celebrate the fun side of food – celebrity chefs, television
shows, pop culture, and the people behind food festivals and cook-
offs.” said Stagg . “Now that the site has launched and the brand has
a unique voice, tone and identity, Elizabeth is the perfect person to
take Delish.com to the next level and continue that vision. We are
excited to have her on the team.”

Shepard comes to Delish.com from Time Inc., where she was the managing
editor of Time Inc. Content Solutions (formerly known as Time Inc.
Custom Publishing). During her tenure in this position, she was
responsible for creative and strategic execution of more than 25
original, quarterly magazine titles, numerous Web sites and other
customized-communications programs. Prior to Time Inc., Shepard served
as the editor-in-chief of CondeNet’s Epicurious.com and Concierge.com.

In addition to Shepard’s appointment, Delish.com is also officially
welcoming other editorial team members who have been a part of the
site’s development from the get go, including: Karen Berner, senior
editor; Sara Schwartz, associate editor; Kiri Tannenbaum, contributing
editor; and Allison Stedman, video producer.
