Once a person has appeared on the game show The Price is Right, there is a ten-year moratorium before they can try out for any possible repeat participation.
So the Donlons from Sheboygan, Wisconsin did the next best thing. Two years after 55-year-old dad Mark won a $20,000 showcase, they returned to LA late last month and watched as daughter Allison got picked. Her episode airs tomorrow. Per a report in the Appleton Post-Crescent, pops took advantage of his presence in the audience to dot a couple of fridge “i’s” and cross a couple of Puerto Vallarta “t’s”:
When Donlon was on The Price is Right, he presented host Drew Carey with a cheesehead tie as a gift… During a commercial break at the May taping, he got the attention of Carey by holding up a tie that the host sent him in return. Carey called Donlon onto the stage and autographed the tie.
At the May 23rd taping, which was also the date of the host’s 53rd birthday, Allison gave Carey a cheesehead bowtie. The funnyman’s WI tie collection is now apparently complete.
