Glamour Tweaks Look, Increases Fashion Coverage

Glamour readers are in for some surprises when they open the magazine’s latest issue. WWD reports that the glossy has increased its fashion coverage, tweaked the appearance of the title and added a new column from editor-in-chief Cindi Leive.

A new section that explores the world of fashion designers kicks things off with a look at Rag & Bone’s creative team. Glamour’s March issue also features a shoot at Condé’s eventual new home, 1 WTC. Paul Ritter, Glamour’s relatively new creative director, fine tuned the magazine by adding more details than typically found in past issues. Leive has also added a new column, “Step Into My Office” in which she interviews a successful woman. First up? Sheryl Sandberg. Not a bad start.

Leive seemed rather excited about the new Glamour. She told WWD that new design was inspired by the “everyday chicness of the American woman.” That’s good, because according to Leive, 1 out of 10 American women reads Glamour. That’s a lot of chicness.
