Good Morning FBLA Readers — Fist Bump

original.jpgEvery media outlet in the nation has had to mention the New Yorker cover. The Huffington Post piece now has 5000 comments. Fists have been shaking over the fist bump. The magazine cover heard around the world. The cartoon that will live in infamy.

Women’s Wear Daily ran this:

According to insiders within Conde Nast, sales execs have been inundated with responses to the cover, to the point where one said, “I feel like I should be wearing a bulletproof vest.” One ad sales executive said this week’s issue was discussed at every meeting with advertisers he attended on Monday, “and not in a good way.”

The thing about this outrage is that NO ONE would have seen the cover if there wasn’t outrage. When was the last time you saw a New Yorker cover?
