Google Search Just Destroying the Competition

google09.18.08.jpgSilicon Alley Insider‘s departing managing editor Peter Kafka has the latest comScore numbers regarding Internet search engine traffic and if you’re not Google, it’s not pretty. Already the leader in the field by a healthy margin, the Mountain View company registered 63 percent of the search traffic in August, up from 61.9 percent in July and 58.5 percent in January 2008.

Yahoo came in second with 19.6 percent of traffic, while all the Seinfeld ads in the world won’t save Mircosoft, which has 8.3 percent of searches, down 11.7 percent from the previous month.
