Huffpo Announces Its Ripping Off ProPublica’s Idea With A Fraction of the Money

HuffingtonPost-Logo22.jpgProPublica is an independent newsroom to fund investigative journalism. They work with about a $10 million dollar budget.

Huffpo announced today:

The popular blog is collaborating with The Atlantic Philanthropies and other donors to launch the Huffington Post Investigative Fund with an initial budget of $1.75 million. That should be enough for 10 staff journalists who will primarily coordinate stories with freelancers, said Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post.

So, does this mean the Drudge Report Investigation Fund will launch soon?

Meh. We’re going to put our head in the sand and pout about City Beat.
