Kurt Eichenwald’s Out At Portfolio
Fridays are traditionally the slowest media news day. Especially in summer. So when Portfolio magazine wanted to leak the news that Kurt Eichenwald had resigned, Friday was a damn good time. We reported on the allegations against Eichenwald on Friday; suffice to say that they are complicated. Both Portfolio and Eichenwald have yet to make formal statements.
So did he jump or was he pushed? And what does it mean for Portfolio that both Eichenwald and deputy editor Jim Impoco departed in the same week?
