Paramount is reportedly offering just a fraction of the old deal. The Times story focuses mostly on the shifting economic tides in Hollywood — but we’re guessing Cruise’s couch-jumping/baby-hiding can’t be helping, either.

According to the LAT, it seems what the LAPD is really looking for is exoneration for itself.
