Vivek Shah Names Jonathan Shar GM

33-year old President of the Fortune/Money Group Vivek Shah announced today the appointment of Jonathan Shar to be General Manager of CNNMoney.com. This announcement follows September's hire of the new sales organization, who is expected to make ''sweeping changes'' at Fortune/Money Group. From the press release:

''Shar joins CNNMoney.com at a critical and progressive time when new Fortune and Fortune Small Business' presence are being developed on the site and the upcoming launch of the broadband video initiative.
''A 12-year veteran of Time Inc., Shar was most recently Vice President, Consumer Marketing for the Sports Illustrated Group, where he oversaw the consumer franchises for Sports Illustrated, SI for Kids and Golf magazines. His responsibilities also included ancillary products and audience development for Sports Illustrated's digital properties.''

Time Inc. Business and Financial Network titles include: Fortune, Money, Fortune Small Business and CNNMoney.com.
