Playboy Needs You to Pay Cash to Pose Nude

When did Playboy start mimicking a low-end porn rackets? When did young women have to fork over cash in order to show their goods? Posing nude used to pay. Is the market really that flooded? Playboy has been charging to audition at open-calls. Doesn’t anyone want to look at nude women for free anymore? What’s the world come to? Seriously, this would be like the New Yorker accepting payments for you to submit your poems. It’s shady for a regular magazine – let alone one as old and prestigious. And yes, it sounds illegal and in California it is.

Backstage’s Daniel Holloway reports:

Women have posed naked for Playboy for close to 50 years. Only recently have some had to pay for the privilege.
